You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
Listen to You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown
Went to Altarena Playhouse in Alameda (where we watched “Death of a Salesman”) last Saturday to see You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown directed by Ron Lytle, who played Snoopy himself in this amazing presentation of the musical, with music direction by Armando Fox (Synopsis Here) You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown brings Peanuts to life. In the musical, most of the segments are like 4 columns comics short with few dialogs which gives us the illusion that we’re reading a comic book. The actors were awesome, we can really feel the characters in them though they don’t necessarily look like the characters, especially Snoopy. I love Snoopy (Ron Lytle) the most. He’s very convincing and charming even though he doesn’t have long ears and a tail. Sally is adorable as well.
If you’re in the area (who am I kidding?), don’t miss this incredible show! Small venue (you can get a very good look at their facial expression!) and superb performance. Definitely exceed the price you pay.
