The Devil Wears Prada

During the movie, I wondered what she wrote in the book?!
The plot is predictably so-so, but you don’t really care about the plot. (And if you know me, I don’t think that surprise is a must to make a movie good.) Just look at all those glamorous clothes, which are though pretty, not necessarily comfy to wear, is quite enough. A total visual blast.
Saying she’s not afraid of doing physical comedy, Anne Hathaway seems to be somewhat confined to ugly duckling stereotype. You knew her from Princess Dairy and the sequel, and Ella Enchanted. Her lasted Becoming Jane is in post-production which is a biographical movie about the young Jane Austen’s romance. I cannot picture her as Austen, and I am so sick and tired of the fact that every movie has to have romance involved nowadays, but I do look forward to it; I’d look forward to anything related to my beloved Ms. Austen, like I looked forward to Mansfield Park (1999), which eventually let me down.
The supportive what-is-his-job-title Nigel, played by Stanley Tucci, was an old acquaintance. He’s rarely the title star but you can easily find him in some of your fav films, such as Undercover Blues.
Meryl Streep is undoubtedly spetacular. Though some said that she looks like Cruella in 101 Dalmatians, which I cannot help but agree a bit, her performance is still fantastic and enjoyable. Her character is the most intriguing one. A devil she may be, but a definitely complicated and deep one that you can 反覆咀嚼,而發掘不同層次的味道。 (so sleepy, I will leave it in Chinese for now.)
