Again, about the Chinese part. The words, phrases they used actually meant something and they often used them in the middle of a sentence. If you dont understand what they’re saying, isn’t hard to follow? Though most of them were just minor things, I still like to grasp a full picture of every little detail.
* The Tam family (the young ones and their father) spoke pretty good Chinese, but their Chinese became irrecognizable after they grew up.
Yes! I always want to know what the extra little bits are that they are saying! Alas, I’ve only recently purchased (~6 months!) Tell Me More and Rosetta Stone for Chinese…I’m hoping I’ll be able to use these while travelling next year.
I’m jealous that you are able to get these extra little crumbs.
(Maybe they only ever spoke Chinese at home? Once they went off to school everyone always spoke english?)
