There&#039s something wrong with my ABS so I&#039m not gonna get it back
today -_-” The repair shop&#039s gonna send it to dealership to check.
He told me that if it&#039s accident related, which is highly possible,
my insurance will cover the cost, or I&#039ll have to pay….

now the problem is that though they pay for my rental car, i was
stupid (in some way) enough to buy the protection rental company
provided which I have to pay myself. So now the longer it takes,
the more money I&#039ll have to spend. Sigh, I really wanna get my
sweet little (not really little) care back. I&#039ll treat you right
from now on I promise! (I&#039ll never say a bad word about you again!)

Let alone the paycheck I received today which has made my day.
My company is such a warm family! Today I got an email from T
announcing that we&#039re gonna have a fun event in mid May. I was
thinking, hmm, that&#039s cool, and then when I checked the date and
found it&#039s gonna take place on Thursday, which means that we&#039re
gonna have half a day off for that event! (I thought it would be
during the weekend!)

Anyway, I&#039m really excited, not becuz of the activities (I&#039m too
lazy to be excited for sport-kinda activities :p), but looking
forward to a fun day which will get everyone closer :D

The sun took a day off again, and therefore I&#039m again
low-spirited. I wonder what this means…
that California is actually good for me becuz the sun shines most of
the time? Or in fact it&#039s the rarity of the bad weather which
makes me more vunerable to it. (Just like how it makes Californian
lousy drivers. lol)

I remember enjoying the thunder shower in every summer afternoon in
Taiwan. It&#039s always refreshing.

同時也有兩段還不錯的感情線, H. Judd 跟 L. Town, 支線是 Meg 跟 Smits.

這集同樣精彩緊湊, Judd的作風依舊大膽讓人痛快之餘又為他捏一把冷汗.
然而在最後處理強暴的案子時, 被告的律師竟然是個女的.
明明看到受害者不只一個 (所以並不是第一個受害者自找的),
還是繼續兇惡地威脅挑釁並且羞辱受害者.
“天啊…” 我想, “難道她都不會想想若是這種事發生在她身上她會怎樣嗎?”
難道她不知道, 若是他打贏了這場官司, 下一個受害的搞不好就是她自己
我完完全全無法接受她的態度.

所以我只好很惡毒的想, 大概她自己知道被告根本壓根一點也不會對她有興趣吧

Since the end of March, toads in a pond near Hamberg began to explode
everyday during midnight. Very intriguing (unfortunate and somewhat
terrifying, of course, but intriguing.)

What I&#039ve observed for the past few months.

It seems that we lack of (or I shall put it this way, have
insufficient) communication. What I noticed in the first place is
that on our intranet(?)/automation system, it seems that some
functions are designed for one person, and everyone seems to have
his/her own “tool”, which cause redundancy and reduce efficiency.
And the lack of communication between department also cause a
problem which I noticed becuz I&#039m placed in the middle, and whenever
one ask me to make some changes, the other will jump up later saying
that something&#039s been changed and doesn&#039t work for him/her.

I think we need to build a more efficient and more open(?)
communication model to reduce misunderstanding and unnecessary
modification and duplication.

I know I may not see the situation clearly. Afterall, I&#039m just
a rookie in the work field. Above is just my HUMBLE opinion.

As for myself, there are some things I have to remind myself
constantly:
My attitude towards colleaques and superiors. Dont act arrogantly
like I know everything and I&#039m always right (which clearly I dont
and I&#039m not.) Be humble, polite, and less offensive/defensive.
Make a space in mind for other possibilities. Don&#039t just respect
the poeple I like.

I almost fall in love with Ranch 99. There are so many Japanese
stuffs (well, “many” in North American context), I felt like being
in Watson&#039s in Taiwan! Very exciting. It lightens my day whenever
I see those Shiseido, Kanebo shampoo, conditioner, toner or lotion.

Last time I went there for eye brow tweezer and at the end I also
bought a shiseido lipstick (medical use) which is so pretty! If I&#039m
not moving very soon, I might as well buy the shiseido
face/hair/body lotion :p
I wonder how much it costs.

I officially stopped watching Alias since last week (Apr 20).
Haven&#039t watched Blind Justice for two weeks, but still I might change my mind after I settle down.
Watch Medium regularly.

Bizarre.

Well, apparently Grey&#039s Anatomy has squeezed Boston Legal from
Sunday 10pm slot. Now the 5 unaired episodes will become the first
5 in the second season and the second season will have 27 episodes.
Bizarre. The way they cut it and paste it is bizarre, and the other
thing is that Boston Legal is such an awesome show, I don&#039t know
why they would make such decision to give the time slot to Grey&#039s
Anatomy (which is not bad though.)

I brought my CD collection to the office to reduce the number of
stuff I need to move on Saturday. And now I&#039m thinking to leave
them here permenantly cuz I rarely listen to CD at home (my DVD
player makes a hell of a loud noise.)

This morning, I took Scarlet Pimpernel (Ver: OBC) out, drawning in
grand, spectacular fantasy. It&#039s quite different from the concept
album which I&#039m more familiar with recently (cuz I was practicing
“When I Look at You” with Linda Eder&#039s version. Now when I listen to
“When I Look at You” of OBC, it&#039s like a totally different song for
me. The OBC version has flaws but at the same time sounds more
affecting and the emotion flows as the melody plays on. Linda Eder
always sings beautifully, but it appears somewhat aloof when
comparing to OBC. The critics gave the original cast very bad credit
except the singing, so I guess OBC is worth buying afterall. (But
I&#039m really thinking of acquiring all the versions. Afterall, there
are only 3 or 4, right?)

Tru Calling always surprises me. I&#039m glad that the season premiere
was two hout long cuz if they only played the first episode (of
season 2), which didn&#039t impress me at all, I wouldn&#039t definitely
not watch it regularly from then on.(even though I love Eliza
Dushku, and by the way, she&#039s not as pretty as she was in Bring
it On.)

At the very begining, I dasagreed with Tru&#039s “belief”. As I
mentioned before, I&#039m more on Jack&#039s side. I believe things happen
for certain reason and also lead to certain consquences, and
therefore one shouldn&#039t change what had happened. I thought the
show doesn&#039t have room to expand, but the second episode proved me
wrong right away.
It&#039s been 5 episodes til now, and it always brought new surprises.
I admire the creativity and also wonder how the first season was
like. It&#039s a pity that they really cancelled it and don&#039t plan on
airing the season fanale (s2e6 -_-)

I blog what I care about.

Now I&#039ll have two machine with Windows 2000 server,
one with WinXP prof, and one with Win2003 server.
They can&#039t fool me anymore!!!
(everytime I make myself familiar with configurating win 2000,
i&#039m asked to help configure Win XP, and I have to find the correct
location all over again. When I&#039m done with XP/2003, I forget
where to configure 2000 -_- It&#039s not a big deal, but it sure is
a hassle.)

It really takes experience to do IT…

My own PC need to be reinstalled as well. I think it&#039s been
trojanized. But I&#039m so lazy :(
Hope it can wait til I move.
