she sits outside, gazes at the sky
the vast blueness wrap her in breezy warmth
the colour varies and it’s never the same
and the moon over that mountain but not over Miami
she longs for beauty and desires to know
but it frightens her to unveil certain chords
she seeks meaning among wonders
so she listen to the music, not the song

I’m Ashley.
The name came from a short-lived TV show Acapulco H.E.A.T. Ashley was a former MI-6 agent and the founder/leader of H.E.A.T. team. Many things in my life have something to do with TV. I quote lines I heard from TV and use scenarios in TV shows as if it’s real life examples. And my most used screen name is ivanovash, which is the combination of Ivanova and Ash. Lieutenant Commander Susan Ivanova was the executive officer of the Babylon 5 station in the best ever Sci-Fi show Babylon 5, my favorite character in the show.
Besides that, I’m sort of a geek. I’m a trekker. (I own a command uniform. STTNG style.) I named all the PCs and servers I installed something like Andromeda, Voyager, Galactica, and Enterprise, of course. I scored rather high on a nerd quiz. I sometimes talk to myself.
However, I’m usually considered a person who knows how to live, an epicure. I fill my life with literature and music, where I find comfort, energy and unlimited imagination. I love gourmet food and fine wine. Tea is my everyday beverage. I enjoy a sunny day outside by the lake or inside where sunlight scatters in with a cup of English Breakfast tea or a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and a book by Jane Austen or Lawrence Block or Josephine Tey, companied by Diana Krall (in Winter) or Chopin (in Spring) or Simple Plan (in Summer) or Counting Crows (in Autumn), OR simply, a kickass Chelsea game.
But people change, inculding myself.
