太慘烈, I can’t watch.

三周內生病兩次, 真是夠了.

昨天整個人很虛弱, 本想說大概是失血過多的關係, 今早起來喉嚨沙沙感覺就是感冒. 應該是因為星期二失血身體本來就比較冷, 看球賽沒帶夠外套 (平常情況下兩件外套是夠的…) 結果就又著涼了. 真無奈.

昨晚紮實地睡了將近十二個小時, 還是有點不舒服.

I wrote a paragraph before the game and decided to delete it.

In short, Dallas Braden had a fine outing and Embree had a magnificent save. DJ was back to the lineup after being benched for a while; Ellis finally got a hit and he didn’t just hit it, he jack it; some hits, few runs and many stranded on base. It was an exhausting game to listen to, but maybe I’m just tired.

Anyways, a win is a win.
It sure feels good to take a series from AL central leader.

The red devils are coming to town tomorrow, stay tuned.

This is my 5th A’s game! Now my home-team-winning-when-i’m-at-the-stadium ratio is back to 5 for 6 (counted in the Giants v NYY one.)

The game started with Cust failing to catch a routine fly ball and the runner got onto third while he should have been out. I was buried by disbelief for a good 5 minutes or so. Before the game began, we saw Ellis, Murphy warming up on the pitch and I knew it’s our new infield double play partners. Then we saw Kotsay, no doubt he ours center outfielder; our young rising star Buck and Swish, so it seemed that Swish will be playing first base as Buck will secure right outfield. Piazza was out there… but wait! why was Cust there? Not that I don’t like him, but was there a slot left for him? Where is Stew? And soon after the game began, the tragedy happened in front of my eyes and I couldn’t help but moaning “why the hell is he there?”

It looked bad in the first few innings. The A’s were able to get on base but were unable to produce runs. Verlander did seem unstable, it’s just up to the A’s whether they want to take advantage of that or not. After Suzuki tied the game, Cust redeemed himself with a RBI double which put the A’s in the lead. And a steady performance of Street, Castilla and Embree combined with Buck’s Game-Ending-Diving-CatchTM handed another win to our ace Haren. Now he’s leading the ERA and wins (with 3 other pitchers) in AL.

I love Kendall even if he can’t hit. And maybe, just maybe, that his absence is the cause of recently slipping pitching. Still, obsessing with how great a catcher he is is not going to help the team, especially our young pitchers. Moreover, perhaps all they need is some time to familiar themselves with each other. Come on, they are big leaguers. Saying steady and promising pitchers cannot perform without a certain catcher is like saying some superstar striker is not as sharp leaving AC Milan… oops, wrong analogy. Anyways, the media and announcers are not helping. Even if Kendall was really the reason of their success, our media should at least help hypnotize our pitchers that they can do excellent without Kendall rather than keep convincing them that Suzuki is the cause of their rising ERA.

It’s pathetic that our own [Oakland A’s] media [say, Ray Fosse] failed to make some good use of themselves, instead, they pulled the whole team down with their mourning of Kendall departure.

Don’t trade Blanton!

I’m a sentimentalist. I know you can’t succeed if you lose objectivity and get personal. I don’t care. I value subjectivity, that’s what makes us human, that’s what makes human interesting. And I don’t wanna see Blanton go. I don’t wanna see him wearing anything but the green and gold. There are other players I hate to see leaving, but at this moment, Blanton seems to be the biggest and the only valuable player [in Oakland A’s] on the market. Piazza is never ours to keep and the talk had been there long enough for me not to grind my teeth anticipating whatever will happen to him.

Anyways, if Blanton were to be traded, it’s better be a Fucking A trade. But it’s not likely, is it?

A feel-good mini-series starring Debra Messing on USA network. You can say the plot is pretty predictable, but so what? It’s a summer treat. ;)

saw the poster at Projekt Revolution (notes coming up), and thought the lineup pretty decent. But when I checked this morning, I realized that there are only three bands I’ve ever heard: The Cure, A.F.I. and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

Download Festival will take place in Boston, Washington State, Chicago and SF (Mountain View, to be precise.) Boston will have Modest Mouse, Guster, and Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. WA will have Incubus, Modest Mouse, The Presidents of the United States of America. Chicago will have The Shins, Snoop Dogg.

For $75, it’s not very exciting for me.

星期六是 TVBN 的 BBQ, Kedi 找我去當 DJ, 我當然義不容辭地答應了.

烤肉, 放音樂, 曬太陽, 跟新舊朋友聊天.

沒想到曬一整個下午的太陽是非常累人的一件事, 我們回家之後都倒了, 但是為了晚餐還是掙扎著起來, 前往 downtown Sunnyvale 吃地中海菜. 還蠻好吃的, 雖然吃得很撐, 然後又很累, 大家逛了逛 Murphy Ave. 之後還是決定再驅車前往 Santana Row 吃甜點 (因為有幾個人沒吃過左岸.) 我們叫了兩個 Chocolate Fondue, 兩個 Creme Brulee 一個 Cream Puff…

回顧這一天, 真是除了吃之外還是吃.

前陣子加了 Sports Package, 就一直想要好好地利用.
賽季還沒開始, 我又不喜歡看新聞 (體育新聞也是), 試圖看一下 Dream Team, 感覺好像 day time drama, 好無聊. 不過我還是每天回家就打開 FSC 看看, 才覺得不會太划不來.

昨晚回到家, 它正在播 2007 UCL Final, 就是傳說中很無聊的那場比賽. 我瞄兩眼就去睡覺了.

今天查了一下 FSC 節目表, 發現他這幾天都在播近幾年的社區盾, 還有一些 FA Cup 的比賽, 可以來看看! 另外 GolTV 也開始播一些德甲跟西甲的比賽了! 來來~ 看足球! =D

I was @ Projekt Revolution.

This was a tear jerking game (at least up until the part I stopped listening.) A’s was down by 6-0, then gradually, 6-3, 7-3, 7-5, and then 7-9. This was why I love the Green and Gold. Later, the score was tied again at 10-10, at the bottom of 8th, the Mariners regained the lead. I switched off the radio, cos 1) I don’t wanna listen to it if it gets too messy 2) Julien-K started to rock and I couldn’t hear it anyway.

I’m still reluctant to check the final result.
You’ll have to find out yourself. (As if you’re interested at all. XD)

First off, Piazza stays red hot! And I love Ellis (and his beautiful bare-handed catch.) And Haren looked steadier today. Pitched 7 innings, gave up 7 hits but had 7 strikeouts as well.

Oh, and an implausible IBB to Kotsay.

With above being covered, let’s turn to Nick Swisher, the person I have special feelings for, with whom I share the same birthday but not annual income.

It was a very sentimental night for Swish. In August 2005, his loving grandma Betty, who raised him after his parent separated, passed away after a long battle with cancer. One year after her passing, at Safeco Field, Nick hit a game winning homer against the Mariners for which he gave credits to Betty. Tonight at Safeco Field, though the date was different, brought back memories of the previous year, the series against Mariners, and the special memories of Betty. Nick swung another one out of the ballpark in the 5th inning, rounded the bases and pointed up to the sky, which now most people know it’s not a gesture of cockiness but a thank-you to his grandma in the heaven. My eyes were watery when him wiped his eyes and returned to the dugout where coaches and teammates awaited to high-five and even more so when I saw he did a miniature homerun dance with Scoot. Later in the interview, Nick confirmed that he was doing a little bit of homerun dance with Scoot, after all, he’s been learning, but they made it small so that Bradley wouldn’t think that they have forgotten about him.

But that’s not just it. In the 9th inning, when the Mariners are trailing 2-3, Nick hit a 3-run jack to make sure that his Safeco Field experience would remain a memorable dedication to Betty.

The Green and Gold’s came to Emerald city and took the first game 6-2.

Five. One to actually change the lightbulb, and four to stand around and brag about the lightbulb’s “history.”

這個禮拜, 兩天捕魚五天曬網 (兩天work out….)
所以剛剛一邊看球賽, 決定起來跳一跳…
結果跳了大約十分鐘吧 (有流汗喔)
就決定去拿冰箱裡的 cream puff 來吃
看來好像比運動前更糟….

最近回到家都習慣打開電視看 FSC (Fox Soccer Channel)
今天播的是 FA Cup Tottenham Hotspurs 對 Fulham那場.
Tottenham主場真熱鬧, 還聽到他們唱 Celery XD
