今天上班途中, KOIT 播起一首非常有九零年代男孩團體(boy band)風的歌, 我的記憶被拉回十多年前, 那時一切都還在啟蒙之初. 而我腦海中響起 Take That: Everything Changes 裡的歌, 蓋過了廣播傳出的樂聲, 當年青澀又帶著年少狂放的甜美的小夥子們, 又一勁湧入腦海. 青春洋溢的 Sure, 深情醉人的 Babe, 而最令我難以忘懷的是他們現場的 Relight my fire. 即使聽過的團屈指可數, 我仍挺著胸膛宣稱 Take That 是當代最好的 Boy Band. 音樂總是有當時的回憶依附著, 更精確地說, 是當時的心情, 就像連續好幾年我聽到志明與春嬌時總會胸口悶, 不是因為旋律讓人低落, 也不是歌詞讓人感傷, 只因一九九九年誰去唱歌不點志明與春嬌, 而這首歌自然而然地跟一九九九年狗血肥皂劇般的九點半檔真實故事緊密地纏繞在一起. 於是, 當 Sure, so sure. that it’s heaven knocking on my door 在我腦海自動播放, 隨之浮起的卻不那麼確定, 不怎麼踏實, 想要什麼都懂, 想要表現像什麼都懂的奇妙心情. 那時候唱著歌, 不是頂在意它的歌詞. 跟阿岑她們和著 babe, I’m back again, 也只是強說愁的浪漫. 在課本考卷上畫上正 T 倒 T 的 logo, 為了 Robbie 的單飛心碎, 但也只是買買 CD, 看看雜誌, 錄下電視上播的每場演唱會, 聽到 ICRT 在抽獎送人去澳洲聽 Take That 滿心羨慕卻無法可施. 小孩子的步伐能有多大, 但又總希望當初自己能多抓點什麼.

五人裡面我一向最愛 Robbie, 但我喜歡他不是因為他的聲音, 更不是他的音樂 (何況TT年代的歌大多都是Gary寫的), 而是他的人. 我知道這就像我因為某些球員展現出來的個性而喜歡他們一樣, 大部份真正的行家對此嗤之以鼻. 但”人”一向最能感動我, 很多時候我都是先對人感興趣, 進而對他們的’work’產生興趣及喜好. 所以當 RW 出了他第一張專輯, 我忠實地買了, 卻不是很肯定自己到底喜不喜歡, 每首歌都會唱會背了, 還是不確定它合不合口味. 我只知道, 他是 RW, 我喜歡 RW. 而這已經成為一個決定而非關喜好, 而啟蒙時期建立的信念, 似乎比什麼其他的都難以打破. 所以即使他被 Oasis 的小子們帶壞, 他在來台的演唱會上取笑 TT, 我仍寬容地喜歡著他. 新專輯 Rudebox 將於本月底發行, 拭目以待.

So let’s talk about Alan first. Ivan Tiggs came to the firm asking Shirley if there’s a back door left on the post-nup (post-nuptual agreement), but apparently Shirley made a rather solid post-nup so they end up at court. And Alan agreed to be his lawyer even though Shirley ordered him not to. Two gloomy episodes, our head-held-high Alan was finally back. Love watching him fight and annoy people.

Alan called Shirley on witness stand which pissed Shirley off.

Shirley: Your resume intact?
Alan: Shirley, you’re being retaliatory; it becomes you.

And at the end, of course we learned that deep down, Alan was trying to help Shirley avoid repeating her mistake. (But from the preview of next episode, things get ridiculous… ~_~)

Back to Coho line. Denise was still on this judge-murderer case but being simply wallflower again. Coho was continuously funny.

Someone: You disgust me. Coho: Already?
Coho: Why does everyone in Boston just stare at me?

We had a few twists in this storylines. DA approached the defendent which made the judge angry and also made the defendent doubt his lawyers. And we found out that the shrink didn’t hand the kid’s tape over to the police after the murder but to the victim’s husband before the murder took place. The kid’s dad also showed up and was to testify against his son. What a mess.

Denny & Midget.
Claire helped Denny with the “case” and pointed out that she’s fallen in love with Denny thus the reaction. But this line became kinda stupid at the end. Don’t know if they’ll help her win the case in the next episode.

Balcony scene, as Raura said, was not as touching and sensible as what it used to be in the second season… I want witty, warm, fun balcony scene back!!!!

A movie about the heroes of US Coast Guard.

It’s not bad, only a few miner flaws, like the American traditional father figure’s sacrifice and new generation carrying on thing. (Doesn’t it remind you of Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck?) But I understand it’s a must coz it felt good and also it made the ending beautifully correspond with the beginning.

Ashton Kutcher did well in this movie. He successfully (finally) got rid of his idiot Miachael Kelso image. Good for you!

I should never doubt my instinct about movies!

Ever since I watched the preview, I’ve been wanting to watch Crank. However, the chance that it’d turn out to be a horrible movie was pretty high, given its seemingly cliche storyline (one day you wake up, realize you’ve got poisoned and you’re dying.) and its low Yahoo!User rating. I kinda hesitated. But thanks to the schedule, we decided to watch The Guardian and Crank, and it turned out to be quite fun! Fun in a weird way. From the very begining, this film was very MTV-ish (but it’s not an MTV movie.) The music, the light and unrealistic scene were quite different from what we’re used to. Though it’s only 83 minutes, it seemed longer. It’s packed with so many twists that I thought “No way! It’s only been 40 minutes!” And the ending was definitely not Hollywood-like. I was still a bit shock. All in all, I enjoyed this movie very much, but I don’t think it’s a movie everyone would appreciate. So, viewers discretion advised.

* Forgot to mention one thing, Chev (Jason Statham)’s girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart) played Noel Crane’s gf Ruby in Felicity. So nice to see her. She’s cute.

新的一季 Gilmore Girls 開始, 都會有種十分陌生的感覺,
但看著 Lorelai, Rory, Sookie, Paris, Luke 等人, 卻又是無比的熟悉.
六季走來, Lorelai 她們對我而言像是家人一樣親切,
然而每年三四個月的空窗期過後再看到她們, 就像是看到明明很熟卻感覺好久好久的朋友,
還在猶豫招呼是否該熱情還是有禮時, Lorelai 已經撲過來給你個 bear hug了.

Paris: (to Caitlyn and her mother): Now, if I can just get you to take these aptitude tests, we can get started.
Caitlyn’s Mother: Why do I need to take a test?
Paris: I need to get a realistic idea of your daughter’s true potential, and genetics is by far the most reliable indicator.
Caitlyn’s Mother: I’m sorry?
Paris: Basically, I need to know how much of this is her fault and how much of it is yours. Tick-tock.

我收著房間, 鋪上剛洗好的床單 (因為貓要來玩了!!), 忽然覺得口渴, 於是走上樓倒杯果汁。行走間, 我忽然懷疑為何我沒有以前在冰箱裡儲存果汁的印象? 啊, 那時樓下就有全家, 走一小段路就有 7-11, 隨手可得各式各樣樣的茶類飲料, 更不用說冰品部的… (噢, 我竟然完全忘記以前愛點什麼。) 重點是, 我在那一刻想要喝什麼, 哪怕是玫瑰果茶, 左岸奶茶, 還是茉莉綠茶, 就可以喝什麼。而我們家要是喝柳橙汁, 絕對是巷口現榨的新鮮柳橙枝。而現在, 台灣日本進口的飲料選擇有限又貴得要死 (應該是, 我實在對錢沒概念), 出門買瓶飲料還得考慮花費的油錢, 在超市裡猶豫半天, 因為現在我覺得好喝的東西, 明天我可能一碰也不想碰。然後三不五時望著房裡小櫃上擺著的 Cabernet, Gewurztrauminer, Muscat 聽著腦海裡的惡魔對我催眠, “If only I can open that bottle…”

Tonight: Quickstep & Mambo

It’s been almost a week. I didn’t have time to write about the last show and now even though I still have my notes with me, I’ve lost the passion to put them into an article. So I’ll just be brief.

Every week is a brand new competition. You did well in one week doesn’t mean you’d do well in another. Some people are good at ballroom, suck at Latin and vice versa.

Willa: Sexy! nice moves & turns
Harry: Ashly always came up with some fun ideas to inspire her partner! This time, the laughing yogi.
Monigue: nice spins!! unique choreography
Mario: still like an ADD kid XD awesome! but it wasn’t really a quickstep. Even I can tell….
Shana: great posture. solid.
Vivica: nice choreography.
Sara: still looks like a Barbie. improved.
Emmitt: surprisingly light. nice footwork.
Joey: they were disappointed last week so they worked extra hard and gave us a grand performance. awesome.
Jerry: Kym was injured and Jerry finally got serious. much much better.

Result show.
Tom was hilarious. Last week Tom said they can promote the show using Tucker’s words “More actual dancing!” This week, one celebrity said “I kept telling myself in the backstage that somebody’s gonna suck, but everyone turned out to be awesome.” Tom suggested a Spin-off for DWTS – Somebody’s gotta suck!

今天中午吃完飯跑去 Fry’s 退東西, 中午 Fry’s 人超多,
好不容易找到一個位子要停進去, 卻發現位子上有隻松鼠在吃漢堡. XD
本來還以為是老鼠, 正覺得冏, 仔細看才發現原來是隻瘦瘦黑黑尾巴不澎的松鼠.

我慢慢地開進去, 希望他會跑走, 但是開到還不會壓到他的地方我就停下來
因為我很怕萬一他沒跑走就糟了, 我可不想要有個鬆鼠屍體在我車上
結果我跑下車看 它果然還在吃…. ~”~
我只好走過去嚇一嚇它才跑到隔壁車底下, 然後我很好心地把漢堡踢到線上
停好下車後… 它果然又在吃了

真是有趣的松鼠.
比我上次在路上遇到狐狸還有趣!!

(No more TV. Let me talk about the first concert I went to since June.)

Thanks to Gary (he was sick so the concert was postponed to Sep), or I’d have no concerts to go to for 3 months. This is my second Snow Patrol concert and it was still great.

Augustana opened for them. We saw Augustana at Alice’s Now & Zen concert but we missed most of their songs due to the traffic and parking. This time we got to listen to their other songs. (All they play on the radio is Boston.) It was good but not spetacular, and Dan was so nervous!! But something fun happened during their performance. Before they sang the second song, Dan said “It’s Chris’ birthday! He is 24 today!” and the audience started to sing Happy Birthday. I was so great! kinda touching. But then Chris said shyly that it’s not really his birthday but thanked Dan for remembering him having a birthday. @_@ After the song, Dan confessed that it wasn’t really Chris’ birthday. He’s just nervous and didn’t know what to say. XD But Chris’ birthday was actually pretty close so I think it’s okay.

Then it’s Snow Patrol. I still love Nathan the most. Btw, their heads are so 60s.

I just can’t help writing about it. (cos I can’t stop watching.)

The thing is, if you don’t get anything out of it, why watch it? I know some people watch TV to relax, let their brain go blank. That’s understandable. I have nothing against it. (As long as they don’t occupy the TV and do the annoying channel flipping thing while I have an IMPORTANT show to watch.) But really, if someone watch as much TV as I do and all for “relaxing”. Man, there must be something wrong with that person. But I got a lot from TV. Not only it creates different worlds, but also it stirs my thoughts and often makes me reflect. It’s fun to have different possibilities and it gives you so much more than real life. (Not that real life is not abundantly fun enough.) For example, Sorkin expresses his ideal of the world of media and politics as well as personal relationships; JJ Abram’s wild imagination (Alias, Lost) and his delicate depiction of human interaction (Felicity, What About Brian, Six Degrees) often intrigue and inspire me. I like Gilmore Girls and Boston Legal for their witty dialogues and firm friendships, and of course, some of them are pure entertainment.

TV makes me think. I like things that make me think. Sometimes it speaks my mind and sometimes it gives me the oppertunity to think about the problems in life which haven’t happened before. In the process, I know myself a bit better, learn things and perceive different perspectives. Mom always says I should care more about worldly events, politics, economy and all, but I just can’t. We have people around the world messing things up and we also have people who care enough and write a show for things. I’ll just sit in front of my TV and watch pseudo-real world drama. Deal?

This week, Willa finally didn’t end up at the bottom two. However, istead of Jerry, Harry & Ashly were voted to the show. It was so sad. I don’t particularly like Harry. (Well, I don’t like him at all.) But Ashly here who finally got a devoted partner still didn’t make it through the third week, it’s just hard to see them go. When Samatha tried to talk to Ashly, she couldn’t even speak because she was too emotional and she just bursted out into tears. It was heartbreaking. Especially after I watched an episode of tearjerking Shark. It’s just too sentimental for a Wednesday night.

I didn’t really like Callie. It’s weird to see her with George. But that’s the only thing I have against her. Now I’m more and more annoyed by those snobbish/immature/self-centered/irresponsible interns. Callie, on the other hand, inspite of her little insecurity display in the middle of last season, she’s actually getting more and more adorable.

Meredith’s “I’m gonna choose Derek”, “I’m gonna choose Finn” is one word – lame. So I’ll not going to that.

At last, among those 3 men in this love/lust “triangle”, I think Mark is the most handsome one.
